This is Lynette Jones’ first book “Military Battle “ A Black Female Commander’s Journey to Iraq. Lynette tells of the struggles and challenges she faced as a young female commander leading Soldiers she really didn’t know. That’s the pain of being thrown into command when you don’t know anyone. This book tells of her personal battles with some Soldiers in the military. Since writing this book Lynette has grown to be more tolerant of Soldiers in the military and those who have supervision over her. “People will be who they are and I can’t change them I just have to learn to work with them and for them” is what Lynette has come to believe.
